I'm Maxwell Wachira, a 3rd-year Computer Science student at Meru University of Science and Technology, Kenya. I'm into algorithmic trading, web development, and cybersecurity — still actively learning across all three.
Most of my trading work is in MQL5 and Pine Script— Expert Advisors for MetaTrader and strategies on TradingView. I also build web apps with Next.js and TypeScript, and I've built REST APIs and payment integrations.
On the security side, I hold a Google Cybersecurity Certificate and an EHE cert from EC-Council. Currently learning AWS and expanding my Python skills.
I build things to learn. Some are done, some aren't. That's fine.

n8n workflow connected to WhatsApp Business API — fetches past exam papers from the MUST portal across all 9 schools in parallel, uses Groq LLM to answer questions and generate multi-year analysis. Built for Meru University students.
Python backend for the Aviator crash game — handles prediction logic and serves data to a frontend client. An ongoing experiment in probability modelling.
Modern church website built in TypeScript with Next.js — one of a few small client projects taken on while studying.

The learning arc.
Entered the Financial Markets
Started discretionary trading, learning price action, market structure, and risk management. The frustration of manual trading sparked curiosity about automation.
Algorithmic Trading & MQL Development
Picked up MQL4 and MQL5 to automate trading strategies. Built first Expert Advisors, learned backtesting, and began writing Pine Script for TradingView analysis.
Cybersecurity Certifications & AI Automation
Earned Google Cybersecurity Certificate and EC-Council EHE cert. Started building n8n automation workflows and integrating AI into development and security workflows.
3rd Year CS & Building Real Projects
Actively learning AWS cloud infrastructure and Docker. Building public projects — a COT data API, a trading platform, and web apps. Still a student, still learning, but shipping things that work.
